Atlas Axillia recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Eco Spindles Pvt Ltd to reduce plastic waste in Sri Lanka.
The agreement was signed to forge a partnership focused on enhancing the recycling of plastic waste, preventing its accumulation in the environment and renewing plastics that would otherwise deteriorate, causing harm to human health.
Additionally, the agreement supports Atlas Axillia to achieve its goal of recycling more than 1.5 million kilo grams of plastic. The initiative seeks to improve the collection and recycling of PET bottles, thereby minimising environmental pollution.
Atlas Axillia, Sri Lanka’s leading learning company, has long been dedicated to unleashing the potential of the future generation through its commitment to their well-being and safety. By embracing a sustainable approach to plastic collection and recycling, this partnership reinforces Atlas Axillia’s dedication to promoting health and well-being while advancing a more sustainable and eco-friendly future.
Atlas Axillia Managing Director Asitha Samaraweera with Randika De Silva, the Head of Marketing of Atlas Axillia and Nadeeka Jayasinghe, Head of Corporate Affairs of Atlas Axillia were present at the event. Representing Eco Spindles Pvt. Ltd., were Prasantha Malimbadage, Chief Project Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
